Our Mission

We are working with Habitat affiliates across the country to make solar the standard for every solar-ready Habitat home. Our goal is bold: to install solar on thousands of homes in the coming years — lowering energy bills, protecting families from rising utility costs, and accelerating the transition to clean energy.

This isn’t just about panels on roofs. It’s about empowering low-income families with solar savings.

Join us on September 20, 2025, 11 AM - 1 PM, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, as we install solar systems on Habitat townhomes and share homeowner stories.

At the Habitat townhouses on Suter Street, where four new solar systems are already powering families’ homes, we’ll:

Celebrate the successful completion of the Virginia AIA Habitat Project, made possible through statewide partnerships.
Launch our national campaign, kicking off with a $40 million fundraising effort to install 10,000 solar systems on Habitat homes by 2030.
Share stories of impact and highlight what’s ahead as we bring solar to Habitat homes nationwide.
